"I wanted a classifieds site that my mom could use," said McCormick in a public press release. The site offers a simple interface aimed at users who are looking for services and products to purchase. For users who are posting services or goods for sale, the site does not require a long registration process. Users can then see how many times their posting has been viewed. The service was originally launched in November 2005.
